2021 West Michigan’s Best and Brightest Companies to Work For®
Every year, the National Association for Business Resources names “West Michigan’s Best and Brightest Companies to Work For®”, distinguishing organizations with “the most innovative and thoughtful human resources approach.” Though GRAM has been recognized with this honor twice before, we are particularly proud to be among this year’s honorees that have “demonstrated leadership and forward thinking” while navigating COVID-19.
Despite the challenges of the past year, GRAM was able to maintain operations and keep company culture at the forefront in several ways:
- We achieved remarkable company milestones by opening a new, state-of-the-art fill/finish facility ahead of schedule, being awarded a government contract to support Operation Warp Speed, and supporting one of the most impactful pharmaceutical projects in the fight against a pandemic: Johnson & Johnson’s COVID-19 vaccine.
- We stayed true to our family-focused culture and developing stronger habits of using generous Paid Time Off and Paid Volunteer Time Off to be there for friends, families, and communities when they needed us the most.
- We prioritized our community-oriented culture. Near the beginning of the pandemic, we joined forces with a local restaurant to deliver more than 300 meals to first responders and essential workers. Most recently GRAM adopted a local park and dedicated time to its cleanup. Astonishingly, three tires, a car bumper, and a TV were amongst items found and ultimately disposed of.
- We offered opportunities for growth and advancement, hiring 125+ new team members and while promoting existing staff to elevated positions.
These reasons, and many others, strengthened the strong sense of empathy and “GRAM-ily” that has been a hallmark of our company for years. GRAM is unbelievably grateful for the hard work of its employees, and the dedication and support that they have shown each other during the past year. We look forward to another exceptional year and a bright future.
