GRAM selects Stevanato for automated visual inspection equipment
GRAM has developed strategic partnerships to bring flexible solutions to our clients, equipping our facilities with top-of-the-line systems and industry-leading technologies. Stevanato Group was selected as the technological partner for automated visual inspection equipment and will initially supply two high-speed Plus 400 LKD automatic inspection machines as part of state-of-the-art manufacturing and packaging equipment operating in our new, 60,000 sq.ft. large-scale fill/finish facility.
GRAM selected these inspection systems, running up to 400 pieces per minute, not only for their high productivity. This model features innovative inspection algorithms ensuring high detection rates and reduced false rejection integrating high voltage leak detection. Furthermore, it is versatile and highly flexible which is extremely important as a CDMO. Plus, 400 LKD is designed with particular attention to return on investment as it inspects different drugs, from water-like to difficult-to-inspect products.
“We are very pleased to put our technological expertise at the service of Grand River Aseptic Manufacturing. Our state-of-the-art inspection machines and local technical support are critical for their programs requesting high reactiveness, product integrity and productivity. We are proud to join forces,” said Raffaele Pace, Engineering Head of Operations.
“The automated visual inspection machines that Stevanato Group provides have a reliable track record, and fit well with our commitment to quality and ensuring the highest level of service to our clients,” said Steve Nole, VP, Operations at GRAM. “We look forward to all we will accomplish with the new technology.”
