Upcoming Webinar: GRAM, SKAN and Bausch + Ströbel to Discuss Future of Pharmaceutical Manufacturing

October 20, 2020

When embarking on our most recent expansion, it was critical for GRAM to find like-minded, reliable and quality-focused partners. In SKAN and Bausch + Ströbel, we found all three. These two organizations were instrumental in filling our brand-new, multi-product fill/finish facility with best-in-class equipment and cutting-edge technology on-time and on-budget. We are thrilled that they will be joining us to talk about facility design, equipment, and technology solutions at our Contract Pharma webinar next month.

On November 12th at 11:00 am EST, leaders from SKAN and Bausch + Ströbel will join Steve Nole, Vice President of Operations at GRAM, to discuss why investing in multi-product facility and equipment design is more important now than ever before. Steve will speak from the unique vantage point of a US-based CDMO that has recently completed construction of a state-of-the-art, 60,000 sq. ft. multi-product fill/finish facility, in time to be of service to its country in the midst of an international pandemic. Steve has more than 18 years of industry experience with biologics and small molecule aseptic manufacturing, lyophilization, technical transfer, new facility startup and contract manufacturing organization management.

Representatives from our valued equipment partners will elaborate on how they worked with Steve and the GRAM team to hand-pick and custom-build equipment and technology that would safely and effectively support multiple products from a range of clients. Les Edwards, Vice President of Technology and Business Development at SKAN has worked in Sterile Process Engineering for more than 20 years. Les has supported dozens of aseptic biotech and fill-finish projects in the US and Europe in various technical roles from engineering, quality, regulatory affairs and executive management. Andre Zdunczyk, Regional Business Development Director at Bausch + Ströbel, has been part of many projects from initial concept development through design, installation and continuous life cycle services. Managing relationships and new partnerships across the industry is one of his major contributions in building the US market and internal processes for Bausch + Ströbel.

Together, Steve, Les, and Andre will delineate approaches that are successfully increasing efficiencies of scale and investments that will enhance safety measures while maximizing productivity. They will also take the human factor into account – at GRAM, we strongly believe that the right people and proper training are just as important as the latest equipment and technology. After all, smart decisions today better prepare ourselves for tomorrow.
